Waterbirth - “The Midwives’ Epidural”

Pregnant woman in a birthing pool, hands on her belly.

Water birth is often referred to as the "midwives' epidural" because of its natural ability to provide pain relief and relaxation during labor without the use of medical interventions. Immersing in warm water can help reduce the intensity of contractions, lower stress levels, and relax tense muscles. To learn more about water birth safety check out this study.

Waterbirth tub and setup/clean-up are included in our standard midwifery care package! You are only responsible for the purchase of a pool liner, hose & pump.
